Description
Awesome Tahoe ride with TahoeBC; done as a point-to-point shuttle starting from the Heavenly Stagecoach TRT trailhead to the bottom of Christmas Valley trail. Includes the Punisher, the mile hike up to Freel Peak, at ~10800ft the highest point of the Tahoe basin, and visits to four smaller but gorgeous alpine lakes. More on this mtbr thread.
Note: my GPS battery died on the way to Round lake; I stitched the track up manually, so the last part is not so accurate (and as a result the elevation gain is overestimated because of the errors) – also, the photo geotagging on the last section isn’t accurate because of the this. We arrived at the Christmas Valley trailhead ~ 7.40pm.
