Description
A loop around Loon Lake near Tahoe. Pictures and ride report are posted on this mtbr thread ; as you can see this looks like an awesome, tough technical ride involving lots of granite fun. I haven’t done the ride myself but am posting it for ‘anotherbrian’ on mtbr who provided me with the gps data.
The trail seems pretty easy to follow, but anotherbrian notes: “I should mention that the cut-off to the Rubicon may be hard to find. There is a ~1 mile descent down pure babyheads, and towards the bottom you start worrying if you’ve passed the cut-off and will have to hike-a-bike back up. Keep going … If you hit the Wilderness Boundry you’ve gone too far, else you’ll find in on the way down.”
