Description
Another amazing Tahoe ride, ending with the famous and fabulous Mr. Toads Wild Ride descent. To get to the top of Saxon Creek trail (aka Toad’s), this ride takes you on the Armstrong Pass trail. Starting at the gate near Oneidas road down in South Lake Tahoe, follow the paved road for a couple of (steep) miles until you hit Armstrong Pass trail. If you thought the road was hard work, then this climb will definitely get your heartrate going. Though very steep, the climb is not as technical as for instance on the Punisher route. You end up at the junction of Armstrong and the Tahoe Rim Trail; take a right, enjoy the views, climb a bit further along the TRT and soon you’ll be getting a downhill ride you won’t forget very quickly.
