Description
The classic climb up Mt Hamilton on New Years Day with Ed – we did a very relaxed pace (average heartrate was only 138 bpm) – weather was sunny and cool – great way to start off 2008! My climb calculator says I only output 227 watts, with a W/G/Hb of only 18.85 – assuming I put out 260 watts with an average heartrate of about 150 bpm, I would have had a time of just 1:46:13 (a new PB!) and a W/G/Hb of 19.2 – and if I could drop about 20 pounds, from 195 to just 175 (like I was a couple of years ago), my time would have been just 1:36:33 and a W/G/Hb of 21.39 – so I really need to drop those 20 pounds over the next couple of months – then my climbing times should start looking real good – and I can hopefully reach my goal of getting to 100 points for the LKHC climbs this year – but I need to climb Mt Hamilton in about 1:30:00 to do that!
