Description
This was another fun hike I was compelled to do in search of a geocache . And I’m happy for it – I likely never would have ventured up here otherwise. The initial steep climb was well worth it – just check out those views! I had intended to drive right up to the base of the climb but the “road” I was on was really an ATV trail. When the 4Runner started to bottom out on the whoops I decided it was time to park and hoof it. Which was just as well because I got a bit of a warm-up in before the steep part. There were some really cool trees and rock formations up there. From the top I was able to look down on the recent hike I did to Toad Head . The descent was tricky because the ground had thawed and turned muddy. This also made the drive out interesting. I got to engage the lockers to get back over the aforementioned whoops. :) All in all a great morning!
