Description

I joined the Valley Ride group at Alpine and Portola and hung with them quite well until they turned onto Greer Rd to head up into Huddart Park – I decided to not try and do the climb this time, but will most certainly do it next week – promise! Then I hung around at Kings Mtn and Tripp Rd until they regrouped about 15 minutes later and rejoined them – but then branched off when they turned off Whiskey Hill to head up Sandhill – I went to the right and rode back up Portola to Alpine where my car was parked, in order to get home a little sooner – next week, I’ll try to join them for the entire ride – all the way from Peet’s Coffee in Los Altos, up into Huddart Park, and then all the way back to Peet’s Coffee – or maybe I’ll just try to do the same ride as today, but add the Huddart Park climb, to see how well I can hang with them on the actual climb itself.
