Description
WooooHoooo!!!! I went real hard for the first 1.0 mile of Old La Honda, from almost a dead stop – just like doing a true time trial – and I got my heartrate quickly up to a max steady state of about 165 bpm – I was racing the virtual partner of a 23:25 course for Old La Honda (someone else, not me) – and was keeping well ahead of my competition! I got a new PB of just 6:11 for that first mile – an average speed of 9.7 mph – wow!!! If I had been able to keep up this pace for the whole climb, I would have come very close to doing 20 minutes flat for the climb – yessss!!!! Next, I’ll try to do the same thing, but continue up to the 1.65 mile mark, which is the halfway point of the climb, both in distance and probable time. I would eventually like to do that first 1.65 miles in 10:00 – and my effort today would have probably resulted in a time of 10:30 or so, which means I could have possibly had a time of just under 21 minutes for today – amazing!!!
