Wilder Ranch - Eucalyptus

Another great Wilder Ranch ride for situations where you only have an hour and a half or so to spare.

This must also be one of my favorite singlespeed rides – you climb to the Eucalyptus grove along Twin Oaks and the east leg of Eucalyptus Loop trail – a fairly entertaining climb, stretches of fireroad with fun singletrack mixed in, as well as a few whoop-de-doos. By the way, don’t bother with the west side of Eucalyptus for a while, is was recently graded and, as a result, dead boring. So after a quick break at the picnic tables, I headed back the same way, until the intersection with the connector trail to Wilder Ridge.

At this point, you could do the Enchanted Loop trail, but on this occasion I didn’t have the time so I went down Zane Gray and Wilder Ridge instead – both fantastic trails with some grand views on the ocean in front of you.
